The — Last Of Sheila

A year after his wife, Sheila, was killed in a hit-and-run accident, wealthy movie producer Clinton Greene (James Coburn) invites six friends to his yacht in the French Riviera for a week-long "scavenger hunt". Each guest is assigned a "secret" on a card—such as "You are a shoplifter" or "You are an ex-convict"—and they must spend the week unearthing who holds which secret.

The twist? The secrets aren't random; they are the real, sordid pasts of the guests themselves, and Clinton’s "game" is actually a trap to expose Sheila’s killer. The Last of Sheila

The 1973 film is a cult-classic whodunit that serves as a masterclass in the "puzzle-box" mystery subgenre. Written by Broadway legend Stephen Sondheim and Psycho actor Anthony Perkins , it was inspired by the elaborate real-life scavenger hunts the duo famously hosted for their Hollywood friends.
