[s3e8] I | See You

While Hank fights for his life, the threat of the Juárez Cartel remains palpable. Leonel Salamanca, the surviving cousin who lost both legs in the shootout, is being treated in the same hospital. His presence creates a terrifying proximity between the predator and the family of his prey. A standout moment of silent horror occurs when Leonel, spotting Walter White through a window, literally crawls out of his hospital bed toward him despite his amputations—a testament to the cousins' "terminator-like" persistence.

Gus Fring uses the chaos to further his own agenda. He makes a bold appearance at the hospital, bringing food to the DEA agents and offering a reward for information, effectively hiding in plain sight. In a masterstroke of cold-blooded efficiency, he orchestrates the death of the remaining Salamanca cousin (Leonel) via Mike Ehrmantraut, while simultaneously using the DEA's focus on the hospital to eliminate his rivals back in Mexico.
