Mayor Thomas Tompkins, who is strictly anti-vigilante, orders the heroes arrested for property damage. The team voluntarily submits until a much larger, unmanned Reach sleeper vessel activates. They break free to disable it, leading it to a safe crash in a frozen lake.

The new team rushes to a small town under attack by what appear to be Reach "Warbugs". They eventually discover the "aliens" are actually Intergang members (Whisper A'Daire, Scorpia A'Daire, and Cairo DeFrey) using stolen Reach technology.
