Resolute, Nunavut , is a small Inuit hamlet known as Qausuittuq or "place with no dawn," located on Cornwallis Island and serving as a critical, high-Arctic logistical hub for research and polar expeditions. Established in the 1950s, this community of under 200 people is also known for its stunning, extreme landscape and role in observing, and often viewing, polar bears.
