You cannot simply "swap" a BCM from another vehicle. It must be professionally programmed with your vehicle's VIN and security data using JLR-specific diagnostic tools to function correctly.
The BCM/Gateway Module (GWM) assembly is bolted to a bracket behind the instrument panel on the passenger side of the cross-car beam. It sits adjacent to the Passenger Junction Box (PJB). There is also a rear BCM unit located in the right-hand rear quarter panel area.
