The narrative begins in in the fictional kingdom of Kuvukiland. During a wedding ceremony, Hekule, the King of Kuvukiland, is given a mystical gemstone by a dying British Redcoat cook named Kunji Balanadin. The stone is cursed, causing the King to be possessed by the mischievous spirit of the cook.
