In the first episode of the Turkish dystopian series Hot Skull (Sıcak Kafa) , titled "Galanthus Byzantinus," former linguist Murat Siyavuş navigates a world ravaged by a semantic virus transmitted through speech. As the only known person immune to the "jabber," Murat faces intense, feverish symptoms—the titular "hot skull"—when exposed, causing the authoritarian Anti-Epidemic Institution to hunt him down. Forced to flee his safe zone, Murat sets out to find a potential cure in the ruins of Istanbul.
