Atlantis:: Milo's Return

is the 2003 direct-to-video sequel to Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire . Far from being a cohesive narrative feature, the film is actually an anthology comprised of three episodes from a cancelled television series titled Team Atlantis . When the original film failed to meet box office expectations, Disney scrapped the series and stitched these completed episodes together to recoup production costs. Production Background: The Scrapped Series

The project's origins as a TV show are evident in its structure and production quality. Critics often note a significant downgrade in animation compared to the lush, -inspired visuals of the first film. Most of the original cast returned, with the notable exception of Michael J. Fox , who was replaced by James Arnold Taylor as the voice of Milo Thatch . Plot Structure: The Three Adventures “Movie” Review – ATLANTIS: MILO'S RETURN - David Daut Atlantis: Milo's Return
