The remix was born out of the global COVID-19 lockdowns in early 2020. Finding themselves confined together, Charlotte and Enrico began working in the studio to pass the time. They chose "The Age of Love" because it is a timeless masterpiece that bridged their respective Belgian and Italian backgrounds—the original 1990 track was a collaboration between Belgian producers and an Italian vocalist.
