: Picking up from the previous cliffhanger, Aki Hayakawa is nearly killed by the Ghost Devil. He is saved when the Ghost Devil hands him a cigarette with the message " EASY REVENGE "—a lingering gift from his deceased mentor, Himeno. Realizing the Ghost Devil can only "see" fear, Aki fearlessly approaches and decapitates it.

: The anime significantly extended the fight sequence compared to the manga (chapters 35–38), adding rooftop choreography and environmental destruction that wasn't in the original source material. 12 : Katana vs. Chainsaw
